Junior and Senior Coaching

The Association organises a number of coaching sessions for both juniors (under 18) and seniors that normally run across the 4 terms of the school year. These sessions are subsidised by WkTTA and those wishing to participate must become members of the Association. In addition, there is a charge for the term’s coaching and this must be paid through the event section on the membership management system (Hello Club).

Monday evenings are restricted to younger members (7-13 years of age) whilst the Tuesday and Thursday sessions are suitable for players 13 year or older, who are serious about improving their skills in table tennis.

Tuesday & Friday Day Clubs

Our social day clubs run on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10.30am -2.30pm.

These sessions are suitable for beginner to intermediate level players of all ages but most players at these clubs are now retired. Watch out.. appearances can be deceptive!

We play singles in the morning (10.30 to 12.30pm) and doubles after lunch (1.00 to 2.30pm).

Don’t forget to bring your lunch and be prepared to socialise!

Tuesday Teams Night

The Tuesday Teams Night runs during the school term time.

Please register and pay for the event on-line through the membership system (Hello Club).

Wednesday Social Night

For players of all ability levels, this is a great place to come to try out table tennis and get to know new people. A variety of different social formats are organised each week.

Serve, Spin, Smash! Para programme

Serve, Spin, Smash! is an 8-week Para table tennis community programme where disabled participants will experience the basics of Para table tennis in fun, safe and inclusive sessions. This programme is being provided as a collaboration between Paralympics New Zealand, Table Tennis New Zealand, Disability Sport Auckland, Parafed Canterbury, Parafed Waikato, Waitemata Table Tennis, Table Tennis Canterbury, Waikato Table Tennis. The programme uses a range of game-based activities to teach movement and hitting skills, along with adaptations needed for Para table tennis. Participants of all ages and all abilities are welcome to attend this programme.

Runs during the school term.

Become a Para member first and then sign up.

TT Kidz programme

TT Kidz (NZ) gives children aged 6-11 a great first experience in table tennis. Runs during the school term.

Saturday Community club

Saturday club from 2pm to 5pm was originally designed for our Chinese-speaking community, as many participants with limited English feel much easier and more comfortable when they come to the stadium. However, all are welcome as this session is for players of all ability levels and is a great place to come to try out table tennis and get to know new people.
